Cycle 7 was crap. They started off very strong with potentially the strongest all girls cast ever. They had so much variation of looks in this cast and almost everybody represented some kind of category in the fashion industry (the international runway girl, the printwork queen, the commercial one, the hot bombshell, the playboy model transformated into high fashion the celebrity model, the doll head, the blank canvas, ...). Just look at those faces.
I also liked that they were going to New York and doing different castings at decent challenges. Unfortunately that was all the positive I can tell about this season because they really f*cked up. They totally ruined the cast by giving most of them hideous and tacky looking make-overs. The whole season was too focused on the supposed top 4 and the commentary on all the other girls was way too scripted for their set-up elimination. The judging panels didn't feel genuine at all. It was probably the worst panel they had, even worse than BeneluxNTM. About the elimination order: the chosen top 4 was not bad, but there were too many robbed girls and the winner was not the topmodel this show promises to deliver, while there were many choices of girls this season that seemed to have "it". And the absolute worst out of this season were the shoots. The quality was dreadful and most of the concepts were weird and cheap. There were some alright ones but even those weren't that good and didn't save it from being a mess. Also no mayor entertainment again made everything a total waste of time.
THE VERDICT:
A fabulous cast wasted by a crappy season.
