I gotta say that usually I'm not a big fan of crazy faces and smiling in shoots, but in this shoot it looks amazing. The photography, setting and styling make it all look so fashionable and represents how the fashion industry is these days. Nothing about this looks forced and everybody looks characteristic as an individual. Everyone's personality shines through and I just love it.
1. Jawahir - What a queen. She is the super happy but sassy girl and you can see it here. She is looking so vibrant in these shots. Her smile is worth a million dollars and I love how she still looks stunning while doing crazy faces.
2. Sinio - This dude looks like someone who could be towering over every international runway. Love the sporty and playful vibes I get at these shots from him. Very current looking too.
3. Bibi - Also looking playful, vibrant and youthful. She has a really good fashion smile and she looks extremely adorable and happy. Like you want to cuddle her 24/7.
4. Sam - The clothes fit him very well. He has a great fashion smile too and boy is giving some serious face at that third picture. The bowlcut fits this shoot very nicely as well.
5. Marcus - His personality as the quiet cute boy really shines through in this shoot. He is fresh looking and his smile looks real so I love these. His asymmetrical features are great.
6. Jordan (eliminated) - There's some serious international appeal about him. Him being a bit socially awkward shows but it works for me. He is looking HF. Love these and I'm a bit sad that he left so early. He wasn't ready for this at all but I think he was more interesting than Marnix and I would have liked to see him making the promoshoot at least.
7. Silke - What I love the most about her is that she is such a classical looking model. I do think she is more vibrant than she looks here, but it's still gorgeous.
8. Maha - Her smile is very contagious. She is the vibrant and happy one, and it shows off in this shoot. Stunning smile, she radiates happiness.
9. Lenny - There's a bit of an uncomfort in her smile, but it does characterize her so I don't think it's very disturbing. Anyway, she is looking edgy and fresh.
10. Mirthe (eliminated) - She is looking really girly and playful in these shots and she has a beautiful face, so I wouldn't have eliminated her already. She was a better model than Joella. Just like Jordan she should have made the promo shoot at least, but afterwards she shouldn't stay that long around imo.
11. Tenisha - She is not the most outstanding girl but she is a bit of an underdog. These pictures show that she has great potential for the future. I love the shape of her face and that slight androgyny about her. These pictures are decent, but she needs some more practice to own it.
12. Anouk - Nice shots. Her smile looks genuine and she makes it all more fashionable than previous shoot. Let's hope the show can edge her out a bit more.
13. Samuel - He is definitely the commercial one based on these shots, but it still has something very characteristic. His smile is amazing and genuine, he knows how to smize it. I'm just curious if he could do something more HF.
14. Nick - I expected a bit more of him. These are still decent shots, but I feel like he is holding back in terms of energy. I think he could have been more radiant as he has such a positive spirit.
15. Benjamin - Also a big improvement after the casting shoot. He looks way more modelesque. He is just holding himself back a little bit in these, he could have been more versatile in body language and expressions.
16. Jippe (eliminated) - He is doing a bit too much of a zoolander expression, but I actually see something more in him here than I did last week. I think he could do well commercially. Also his energy is kinda cool and the 'sportive/fun/cool dude' personality of him shines through. Not sad about him leaving though as he was one of the most average looking ones.
17. Jay - I really like him, but this is a bit boring. The first picture is a bit too intense and I just don't see much energy overall. He is a bit of the dry guy so it definitely fits his personality, but I just don't think it works well in this shoot.
18. Joy - She is the innocent and fun teenage girl, but for some reason it doesn't look really genuine here. There is some energy in her eyes missing. The shots are cute, but just like Jippe I think she was eliminated at the right time. She didn't stand a chance against the other girls.
19. Marnix - Everything is a bit too much. He is the extravert guy, but I think he should have toned it down a bit because it doesn't work like that in pictures. Everything looks too forced here.
20. Joella - She did the worst for me. Still not bad shots, but for some reason I'm just not feeling it. It's very flat and she looks a bit dragish here.
After this shoot the models got divided into 2 houses without knowing about eachother making it (with Jippe, Mirthe, Joy and Jorden being eliminated).
Group 1: Anouk, Benjamin, Bibi, Jawahir, Marcus, Marnix, Samuel, Tenisha
Group 2: Jay, Joella, Lenny, Maha, Nick, Sam, Sinio, Silke
