The first shoot was a fantastic kick off for Benelux' Next Top Model. Love the idea of posing in garbage backs without make-up and being natural. All the girls look good and it's the only shoot this cycle where the high fashion potential of the edgy girls shows off.
1. Justine - That close-up is gasp worthy. I love how unusual yet divine she looks, with her unique jaw, close set blue eyes and small mouth. She looks like a Russian beauty. I love how she's trying out something editorial with posing in her full body shot, and it works out quite well imo. Overall the strongest.
2. Catharina - However her body language doesn't convince me all that much, her face is killer. Especially her close-up shot is iconic in my books. Everything is perfect in an authentic way. Amazing.
3. Roxanne - she is the quirky underdog of this season and probably also the most edgy one. Roxanne looks really natural and unique. It's something we haven't seen before this season. I haven't much critiques since she looks fantastic in both shots, except that she could have added a bit more length in the body one.
4. Bianca - It's obvious that the Belgian girls dominated this shoot hardcore. However Bianca looks a bit like a 'non factor' in the full body one, her close-up picture is perfection. It's elegant in an editorial way. Her bonestructure is to die for.
5. Denise - Denise is the commercial one of the group, but here she managed to deliver something more interesting than just her pretty smile. The way she is posing is really good and she seems to knows her angles. She looks youthfull, her skin is gorgeous and her eyes and lips are mesmerizing.
6. Adinda - She rocks that interesting Scandinavian look. Love her ice blonde hair, freckles and albino skintone. She looks stunning, but for some reason something feels a bit off in her face if I look too long at it. I'm just not sure if she's photogenic enough.
7. Maxime - These shots are okay. Just okay. Her face looks insanely pretty in the close-up one, but she looks too passive in it. Same for the other whot, which is kinda boring. I wish she added a bit more oomph.
8. Lianne - Her close-up is stunning. The way she closed her eyes add some emotion and sensitivity into the shot. Her other shot doesn't do it for me though. She looks a little odd and not in a modelesque way.
9. Alexandra - She looks a little matured, but I love how catty she looks. Her green eyes are an eyecatcher and I think it works really nicely with the hair that blows in her face in the second shot. She lacks some confidence in the first shot though.
10. Sarah - The red hair cheapen her shots for me, but besides that they're not bad. She looks like a youthful elf walking the runway in the second shot. The first shot looks alright too, but I just don't think she looks very modelesque.
11. Rosalinde - She looks very pretty in these shots, but more in a paegent kind of way. The first shot is alright but the second shot looks uncomfortable. She is lacking some energy and is resting on having a pretty face.
12. Tessa - Gotta admit that as the worst she didn't do too bad, because the expression in her close-up shot is fantastic. That softness is surprising to see from her. She looks trashy in the second one though, and I'm just not really getting her look. She looks too predestrian.
