This shoot was executed properly. It's the thirth shoot in a row I like, so I gotta say BenNTM 1 started off pretty great. The haute couture, hair and make-up were a great combination. The girls did well and the photography is not bad. The graveyard concept also fits the looks the girls were given, but I wish the whole setting was a bit more expensive looking like the rest was. Something about it doesn't convince me enough. Anyway, one of the better shoots this cycle.
1. Catharina - I adore this shot. She looks fabulous. The short hair definitely evaluates her look, like she went from a plain schoolgirl to a grown up confident glamourous women. I love how she is giving the effortless look but still having that slight interesting androgyny.
2. Justine - Her face looks absolutely stunning here. The lightning falls perfectly, it's a nice angle of her we haven't seen before and I like that subtle shock in her face. Her right hand ruins the overall picture though. It's like a claw which isn't very flattering.
3. Lianne - This picture has always been really underrated. I love how she is giving more input instead of just sitting there like most of the other girls. It looks a bit forced, but it works in a high fashion way. Her profile looks fantastic and the stretched pose is kinda cool too.
4. Roxanne (eliminated) - The placement of her hands and arms make it a little uncomfortable, but she looks so fierce in the face. It's like a high class rich diva everybody should be affraid of. Even her duckface doesn't bother me and fits the image. Doing this re-rank, I am quite sad seeing her leave this soon. Her face was one of my favorites and I feel like she was one of the leading contestants in terms of photoshoots so far. I'm sure she would have looked stunning in all the upcoming shoots as well. Robbed!
5. Maxime - The little shock with the hands is maybe a bit too extra, but I still love it. I like how her blue eyes, red lips and haircolour are popping out with her pale skin. It has a very ghostly vibe and the angle works too. What I also like is that there is some improvement after last 2 shoots where she lacked facial expression.
6. Tessa - I genuinely like this picture of Tessa, and at this point she is growing on me. This haircut definitely makes her more editorial. The expression is great cause it fits the shoot and is not too over the top. I think if the shot was taken a bit more closely like the others, it would have been even more beautiful.
7. Sarah - Although Sarah isn't one of my favorite girls, she looks really chique here. I also like the idea of coming out of the grave, but I feel like it could have been executed a bit better. Something about it doesn't convince me enough.
8. Rosalinde - She looks beautiful and the overall image is alright but there's nothing mindblowing about this. In this shoot the aim was to look effortless, and I don't think she succeed in that. The idea I get of this shot is that she needs to get more out of her comfort zone.
9. Denise - It's a really average shot. Her face looks pretty, but there's no energy coming out of it. Next to that her right arm makes her body look weird.
10. Adinda (eliminated) - The body gives a cramped feeling and she looks confused in the face. The pouted lips are also not a good look. It's an uncomfortable shot. She wasn't my top favorite and not as robbed as Roxanne, but I would have given her another chance over Melanie. She had a fresh look and besides this shot she has done good enough to stay some longer in my opinion.
11. Bianca - This picture gives me nightmares. Like what the heck is that make-over? It ages her a lot and doesn't look good on her (or anybody) in the first place. Her body language is okay, but the steel face, scary make-up and pale looking skin that gets amplified even more by this hair makes it a bad shot. Sad, because it mostly isn't her fault
12. Melanie - She should have been sent home. She is obviously the least modelesque out of all the girls, and it shows in this shoot. She looks matured here and it seems that she has no idea what she is doing.
