I like the photography and styling, it does fit the overall concept which is cool since posing in a tram isn't an often used concept and somehow they still make it work out. Some of them look like shots they would use for real webshops but some models did a bit underwhelming though. Overall a decent shoot.
1. Silke - This is what every picture of this shoot should have looked like. The angelic photography style fits with her soft expression and subtile pose. This is the only picture where the tram totally fits the overall image.
2. Jay - It's maybe a bit too much for this shoot, but it doesn't take away the fact that he looks fantastic. I love the mad model expression on him; really handsome. I also like the action in it and that he is trying things other than just standing there, so for me it's a good one.
3. Marcus - His face looks stunning in this shot. I love how nonchalant he looks. He looks super chilled, yet interesting and current. The body language totally fits that. The only downgrade in this picture is his skin, which looks a bit impure (maybe it's a photography thing? I can't tell).
4. Nick - It's a nice shot. His body language and expression express the cool sufer dude he is, so he got the challenge of 'being you' which was the purpose this shoot. Though I'm not loving it for 2 reasons: I don't get what he is doing with his right hand and the main reason is that it doesn't catch my attention that much. Unpopular opinion but I agree with the judges that he should step it up a bit and give a little more during shoots like Marcus and Jay are doing instead of 'just go with the flow'.
5. Benjamin - Body and styling wise it's great and it could definitely come over as a real webshop picture. Facial expression is lacking though. It's beautiful, but there is just no energy coming through his eyes which makes it a bit stiffer looking than it should be.
6. Bibi - It's a shame that this picture is mediocre, because it could have been so good. She does look hot in an old fashioned way with the hair and styling, and she honestly did quite well face wise, but the body position makes it look uncomfortable. I think it's mostly the way her shoulders are placed. Also giving the same expression every shoot isn't helping her to stand out.
7. Maha (eliminated) - I wouldn't say this is a horrible shot, because she looks genuinely happy, but she just doesn't look like a model posing. More like a random school girl smiling in the tram (a beautiful smile though). I agree with her elimination, it was definitely her time to go since her runway and photo skills were below where she should be at this point of the competition.
8. Lenny - Yes she has an edgy look, but this picture is just not working for me. I love a wet look on her, but the eyes look dead and her mouth doesn't look very flattering. Also she is doing nothing with her body to make it work. Love what ELLE said in their blog though: 'The shoot was being you and Lenny told in the confessionals that SHE isn't very smily or bubbly in a tram but just listening music with a sour morning face so she managed to express that and the judges shouldn't criticize her for that'.
